Teen social media ban group 36 months sold brands access to UN

At the center of Communications Minister Anika Wells’ widening parliamentary expenses scandal is a whirlwind $100,000 trip to the United Nations in New York to sell Australia’s social media ban on young people.

Amid a busy schedule filled with tech company meetings and press releases, Wells took time to appear as guest of honor alongside Prime Minister Anthony Albanese at an event held at the celebrity-owned Australian-themed bar.

The event was hosted by 36 Months, a group that both Albanese and Wells have repeatedly thanked for being behind the ban.
