Anna Kepner video surfaces showing dancing days before tragic cruise ship death

A video shows 18-year-old Anna Kepner dancing with other passengers on the Carnival Horizon It surfaced, offering one of the last public images of the Florida teenager days before he was found dead on a cruise ship.
Footage posted by TikTok user @nickcapo609 shows the ship’s Sailing Party as it departed Miami for a week-long Caribbean cruise on November 2.
In the clip, vacationers sway to the music on the open deck. Near the center of the crowd, Kepner, wearing black shorts and a white top, dances with other passengers. Her grandmother, dressed in pink, stands nearby.

Authorities have released few details about what happened between the time the video was recorded and the discovery of Kepner’s body.
He was found dead in his cabin on the Carnival Horizon on November 7..
The teenager’s body was found under the bed in the room he shared with his two siblings, including his 16-year-old half-brother.
Authorities said he died of “mechanical asphyxia” and the FBI opened an investigation.

The ship returned to PortMiami on November 9, and federal authorities boarded the ship and began gathering evidence.
Although the bureau has not publicly identified anyone as a suspect and no criminal charges have been filed, a fight in family court between Anna’s father and stepmother, Christopher Kepner and Shauntel Kepner, and Shauntel’s ex-husband, Thomas Hudson, revealed that their 16-year-old son was being investigated in connection with Anna’s death.

Kepner, of Titusville, Florida, was a high school senior at Temple Christian School. He is preparing to graduate in spring 2026 and hopes to join the U.S. Navy, his family said.
