Dalai Lama turns 90 and vows to keep defying China for years

Dharamshala, India (Reuters) -Tibet Buddhists’ spiritual leader Dalai Lama, who held China again and after the death of more than 130 life and hope to be reincarnated by the followers of the 90 -year -old celebrations after the celebrations.
The Nobel Prize -winning is considered one of the most influential religious leaders in the world, not by Beijing, who extends far beyond Buddhism, but calls him separatist and tries to control faith.

Thousands of followers from around the world, celebrities and United States and officials from India will participate in the birthday celebrations in Dhamshala, the small Indian town on the skirts of Dalai Lama.
In addition to long -term follower and Hollywood star Richard Gere, Dalai Lama is planned to make a speech during celebrations that will include the cultural performances and explanations of Federal Indian ministers.
Previous Celebration Week, Dalai Lama had previously said that he would talk about his successor on his 90th birthday, and was particularly important for Tibetan Buddhists.
On Wednesday, he reduced his concerns about the future of the Dalai Lama institution, saying that the belief in his death would be reincarne as the leader of his death, and the non -profit -free institution had the authority to recognize the successor of Gaden Phodrang Trust.
China said the successor should be approved by the leaders.
The United States, trying to resist the rise of China, called on Beijing to stop Beijing to stop what it defined as Dalai Lama and other Tibetan Buddhist Lamas.
