Zoo Park Being Set Up at Diwancheruvu

kakinada:Rajamahendravaram MP D. Purandeswari said that a zoo park will be set up near Diwancheruvu forest in Rajanagaram constituency of East Godavari district.

He said the central government had responded positively to the park proposal.

In this context, Purandeswari and members of a central team from New Delhi visited Diwancheruvu.

The MP said that the reserve forest in Rajanagaram mandal has 311 hectares of land, of which 250 hectares can be allocated for the Zoo Park.

Among those accompanying Purandeswari during her visit were Central Zoo Authority member secretary V. Clement Ben, inspector general of Forest Conservation, Research and Education Ajay, district forest officer B. Prabhakara Rao, State silviculturist R. Srinivas and Rajanagaram MLA Bathula Bala Ramakrishna.
