Mumbai Indians Beat Gujarat Giants by 7 Wickets

Navi Mumbai: Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played an unbeaten knock of 43-ball 71 as Mumbai Indians beat Gujarat Titans by seven wickets in the Women’s Premier League match here on Tuesday.

Asked to bat first, Gujarat Giants posted a challenging 192 for five in the final charge of Georgia Wareham and Bharti Fulmali.

Wareham remained unbeaten on 43 off 33 balls, hitting four fours and a six, while Fulmali blasted 36 off just 15 balls with three sixes and as many fours.

In response, Mumbai Indians posted 193 for three in 19.2 overs, with Nicola Carey remaining unbeaten on 38 off 23 balls.

Early in the MI innings, Amanjot Kaur smashed 40 off 26 balls and scored 37 off the fifth ball after the opener dropped Hayley Matthews (22 off 12 balls) and Gunalan Kamalini (13 off 12 balls).
