Two men were arrested in Minnesota for allegedly assaulting federal officers and ignoring officers’ orders to stay out of traffic, ICE said Sunday.
The arrests came as federal law enforcement was working to secure the Whipple Building, which houses ICE and other government agencies, and about 200 people were protesting the institution.
“Two agitators were arrested after assaulting officers and repeatedly refusing orders to stay out of traffic,” ICE wrote to X.

“REMINDER: If you attack federal law enforcement, you will face consequences like these two provocateurs did,” the agency added.
The agency reported several other arrests in connection with the demonstrations last week.
The protests were sparked by a recent incident in Minneapolis; U.S. citizen Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who fired into the driver’s windshield and the open window from the side of the vehicle, then screamed “f*ck b—-” as the car crashed into another parked vehicle.

Democrats and local residents condemned the attack as murder and called for Ross to be prosecuted. Trump administration Republican lawmakers defended the incident, claiming that it was a justified shooting.
A week after that shooting, an ICE agent shot an alleged illegal immigrant in the leg during an attempt to arrest him. The Department of Homeland Security claimed that the agent opened fire on the suspect because he “feared for his life and safety” after the suspect resisted arrest and “violently attacked officers.”

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have repeatedly demanded that ICE leave the city as President Donald Trump tries to maintain a federal immigration crackdown as part of his mass deportation agenda.
“The fact that a large percentage of the shootings that have occurred in Minneapolis so far this year have been committed by ICE certainly does not create safety,” Frey said after the second ICE shooting last week. “So let’s be very clear. I have seen disgusting and unacceptable behavior by ICE.”
