School students taken on flight to Coimbatore

Rotary Club of Guindy on Thursday welcomed a total of 30 students from ELM Fabricius HSS, Purasawalkam, as part of its Vibrant Rotary Youth Leadership Awards initiative; Government Girls HSS, Avadi; and Kannada Sangha HSS flew to Ayanavaram, Coimbatore, visited the GD Naidu Car Museum and participated in intensive leadership modules.

According to the press release, for students in grades 9 through 12, this was their first flight experience. In Coimbatore, Rotary Club of Coimbatore East (RI Region 3206) and PSGR Krishnammal Women’s College Rotaract Club have stepped in to organize events for students.

“By combining leadership training with the powerful experience of air travel, we instill in these children a sense of faith and ambition that they will carry with them for life,” said Radha Krish, President of Guindy Rotary Club.
