Thunderstorms on Sunday; severe storms, isolated tornadoes possible Monday

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Storm Team 2 is monitoring the possibility of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, with more severe weather expected on Monday.

Intermittent showers and thunderstorms will enter the ocean on Sunday morning due to the warm front. Some of these storms could be strong with gusty winds as they move toward the coast and shift northward into the afternoon.

People need to be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Sunday’s threat:

  • Isolated severe storms

With the arrival of the cold wave on Monday, serious severe weather conditions may occur across the region. Scattered isolated individual storms will be possible ahead of the main storm line along this front during the morning hours.

The storm line along the cold front will pass from the west in the afternoon.
