TVK criticises DMK govt. over alleged assault attempt on elderly woman in Salem

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) criticized the State government following allegations that a 66-year-old woman was targeted by a group of youths in an attempt to sexually assault her in Salem on Monday.

In a post XThe party said the incident was shocking and claimed that it reflected a breakdown in law and order in Tamil Nadu under the government led by Chief Minister MK Stalin.

The party claimed that crimes like robbery and murder have increased and even old women are no longer safe in the state. He also claimed that the circulation of narcotic substances, including marijuana, contributed to such incidents and accused the government of failing to control drug use.

TVK said drug-addicted youth were involved in violent acts and the government was failing to ensure public safety.
