Stockpot beauty spot Marple Aqueduct shut off after man’s body found | UK | News
A man’s body was found at a beauty parlor in Stockport this morning and police cordoned off the area. The identity of the victim has not yet been determined, but it is understood that the police do not treat the incident as suspicious.
It was apparently found near the Marple Aqueduct and an eyewitness said the area was cordoned off this morning as a police helicopter flew overhead. Manchester Police (GMP) said although the man has not been formally identified, the man’s next of kin have been notified.
The aqueduct is located between Marple and Romiley and carries the lower level of the Tepe Forest Canal over the River Goyt.
