Dubai explosions LIVE: UAE launches fighter jets as Iran missiles targ | World | News

Lana Nusseibeh, Minister of State at the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Wednesday (March 25) that Iran has fired more than 2,200 missiles and drones at the UAE since the start of the war.

Nusseibeh told Fox News that number is more than Israel and other Persian Gulf countries combined because Iran sees the UAE’s openness and prosperity as a threat.

“More than 60 percent of attacks are against the UAE. And this is a fundamental question: why?” Ms. Nusseibeh said.

Iran said, “We did not want a war in our region. We did not start a war.” Instead of negotiating with Washington on its nuclear and missile programs, Iran preferred to fire missiles.

“They have resources on three continents but there is inflation for their own people, their currency is in freefall and they are killing protesters. This is a brutal regime and it is right to hold it accountable.”
