Amaravati Is AP’s Sole Permanent Capital, Says Pawan Kalyan

: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday asserted in the State Legislative Assembly that Amaravati is the state’s only permanent capital and promised his party’s “full support in thought, word and deed” to a resolution seeking legal support from the Centre.

Recalling the voluntary contribution of nearly 33,000 acres by farmers, he claimed that the previous regime created a “war-like atmosphere” in Amaravati and harassed land-giving farmers. He said the three-capital offering further complicated the problem rather than solving it.

Underlining that political stability is vital for development, Pawan called for unity and said, “We are one homeland, one language, one nation.” He also criticized the way the state was bifurcated, accusing the Congress of acting without a clear road map and depriving Andhra Pradesh of a stable capital.

Praising Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his “vision and commitment”, he said Amaravati has emerged as a “people’s capital” with global potential. He noted that infrastructure works have restarted, supported by financing and increasing investments.

Reaffirming the NDA government’s resolve, he said those who harmed the interests of the state “will not go back” and called for collective support for Amaravati farmers and their future.
