Driver arrested after allegedly ploughing car through pack of dirt bike riders

A man who allegedly drove his car into a group of dirt bike riders has been arrested after sustaining multiple injuries.
Video of the incident shows about 10 teenage riders standing motionless at the intersection of the Hume Highway and Johnson Road in Bass Hill when a Holden Cruze sedan plows through the group, knocking at least one person off his bike.
Police said the incident occurred around 8.30pm on Friday night.

According to NSW Police, the driver was followed to a nearby service station, where he was surrounded and allegedly attacked by several motorcyclists.
He then left the scene and drove into a shopping center parking lot before crashing into a fire hydrant.
Police tracked the 49-year-old driver to an address in Bass Hill at around 9am on Saturday morning, where he was arrested.
The man is being treated at Bankstown Hospital under police guard for facial injuries and a suspected arm fracture.
Investigations continue.
