Drug smugglers’ licence, passport, Aadhaar to be revoked: J&K L-G Manoj Sinha

Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Saturday, April 11, 2026, announced stringent measures in Jammu and Kashmir, including cancellation of licenses, passports, Aadhaar etc. of those involved in drug smuggling.
“Assets of drug traffickers will be seized, ringleaders will be prosecuted and punishments will be meted out swiftly. The administration will seize all properties, cancel licenses, passports, Aadhaar and freeze bank accounts of all those involved. This crackdown on drug traffickers will reverberate for generations,” Mr. Sinha said. “Those who destroy society will face the full and uncompromising weight of the law,” he added.
