5-year-Old Girl Dies After Being Locked In Car

What are you doing? A five-year-old girl suffocated to death after she was accidentally locked in a car parked in front of her house in Narketpally in Nalgonda district.
The victim, identified as Perni Sharanya, was Sathish and Gayatri’s daughter. Police said the boy was playing outside in the afternoon when he walked into a neighbor’s parked car. When he did not return home after half an hour, his family searched the area but could not find him.
Late at night, the owner noticed a chappal near the vehicle and unlocked the doors. Sharanya was found unconscious in the backseat and was taken to Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences in Narketpally, where doctors declared her dead. Prima facie, police said the incident appeared to be a case of strangulation.
Following the parents’ complaint, Narketpally police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
