Trial run commences on section of Chittoor – Thatchur National Highway

If you are a resident of the western suburbs and heading to Bengaluru and beyond, a 92 km-long stretch of the Chittoor – Thatchur National Highway has now been opened for vehicular traffic on a trial basis.

The six-lane wide access-controlled road can be joined from Uthukottai on SH 50 connecting Uthukottai and Tiruvallur. The other end of the road joins the Chennai – Bengaluru NH at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. By August, the corridor will be connected to the new Bengaluru – Chennai Expressway.
