Peddapalli Collector Suspends Tahsildar Office Assistant for Negligence

Karimnagar: District collector Koya Sri Harsha on Monday suspended K. Chiranjeevi, a registration assistant at the Kamanpur mandal collector’s office in Peddapalli district, on charges of negligence and dereliction of duty.

According to the decision, it was found that the employee frequently did not come to work without prior notice. It was also claimed that he did not respond to official calls and did not accept notes from his superiors asking for explanations. The Collector stated that the behavior reflected a lack of responsibility in the public service.

The suspension was initiated under the Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules to enable departmental investigation. The order, which takes effect immediately, prohibits the official from leaving the center without prior permission during the investigation.

The Collector said that action will be taken against government employees who are negligent in the discharge of their duties.
