Trump expecting peace proposal from Iran TONIGHT as he inflicts tough sanctions on top suppliers giving Tehran drones and ballistic missiles

President Trump said he expected an offer from Iranian leaders to immediately end the war, just hours after imposing sanctions on some of the country’s top arms dealers.
During ongoing talks to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the president told reporters that Iran is expected to give the United States a response to its peace proposal by Friday evening, Reuters reported.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio added that he hoped the offer Iran put on the table after weeks of bombings and blockades between countries was a “serious offer.”
The two countries initiated a ceasefire in April but the US launched a series of ‘self-defense’ strikes targeting two oil tankers on Friday.
However, the President claimed that the latest round of attacks did not violate the tenuous ceasefire agreement.
The prospect of Trump’s peace offer came on the same day the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control announced sanctions against ten suppliers that would “enabling the Iranian military’s efforts to secure weapons.”
‘Staying alive’ [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] “Leaders are trapped like rats on a sinking ship, the Treasury Department is being relentless in our Economic Rage campaign,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said. Press release.
‘Under President Trump’s determined leadership, we will continue to take action to Keep America Safe and target foreign individuals and companies that provide weapons to the Iranian military for use against US forces.’
President Trump told reporters he expects a response from Iran tonight amid ongoing negotiations over the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the statement, the US Treasury exerted ‘maximum pressure’ on Iran’s ability to act and generate funds allocated for weapons and oil.
The sanctioned groups include China’s Yushita Shanghai International Trade Co Ltd, Dubai’s Elite Energy FZCO, Hong Kong’s Hesin Industry Co Limited and several Belarusian entities.
“Treasury is aggressively advancing the Economic Rage and has disrupted billions of dollars in projected oil revenues, taken actions that led to the freezing of almost half a billion dollars in regime-linked cryptocurrency, and damaged Tehran’s shadow banking networks,” he said.
The Trump administration has targeted Iran’s main sources of revenue and ‘any person or vessel facilitating the illicit flow of oil or other products risks exposure to US sanctions.’
“As a result of today’s action, all property and proprietary interests of the designated or blocked persons described above located in the United States or owned or controlled by U.S. citizens are blocked and must be reported,” the statement said.
Trump’s Economic Rage was announced in April, along with Operation Epic Rage, as another pressure point against Iran.
The US disabled several Iranian oil tankers this week, but the president said the arrests did not violate the ceasefire
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said at the time that the goal of the two initiatives was to “maximize pressure on Iran across the entire government.”
‘You, Iran, can choose a prosperous future, a golden bridge, and we hope you will do this for the Iranian people. “In the meantime, and no matter how long it takes, we will continue this blockade, this successful blockade,” he said.
‘But if Iran makes a bad choice, then they will face a blockade and bombs will fall on infrastructure, energy and energy.’
As a result, on 8 May US forces disabled two Iranian oil tankers attempting to enter the Gulf of Oman ‘in violation of the ongoing US blockade’. On May 6, another oil tanker was stopped.
The US fired precision munitions into each ship’s smoke stack to prevent them from entering Iranian ports. US Central Command.
“U.S. forces in the Middle East remain committed to fully enforcing the blockade of ships entering or leaving Iran,” Admiral Brad Cooper said. ‘Our highly trained men and women in uniform are doing incredible work.’

As the alleged peace agreements approached, Iranian leaders claimed that the US strikes violated the ceasefire agreements reached between the two countries on April 8.
“Whenever a diplomatic solution is on the table, the United States opts for a reckless military adventure,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said in a statement, the Daily Mail previously reported.
But US Central Command said on Thursday that its forces had foiled an “unprovoked” Iranian attack on three of its ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz into the Gulf of Oman.
Still, the president remains confident that peace agreements are imminent.
“It’s just a touch of love,” Trump said of the strikes. ‘The ceasefire continues. In force.”
