Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs was a classic.
It was a back-and-forth battle as the Spurs took the halftime lead before the Thunder roared back in the fourth quarter to send it into overtime. After two overtimes, San Antonio pulled away to secure the 122-115 victory. And with his all-time great postseason performance, Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has made it clear that he is on track to become the NBA’s next great star.
Wednesday’s second game was very important for both teams. Wembanyama and another dominant performance from the Spurs could take a 2-0 lead in the series heading into San Antonio.

For OKC, this was a must-win game; The Thunder were facing a 2-0 deficit in the series and their next two games were on the road. Despite another outstanding performance from Wembanyama and an injury to Jalen Williams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder held on for a massive 122-113 win.

He also fed teammate Stephon Castle for the big pin on Isiah Hartenstein, arguably the highlight of the game.
Ultimately, Wemby filled the stats sheet once again. 21 points on 8-16 shooting, 3-7 from 3-point range. He also added 17 rebounds, 5 offensive rebounds, 4 blocks, 6 assists and a steal. But the Thunder have a star of their own in new MVP SGA, who made his mark on the series in Game 2.
