Srihari Distributes Assistive Devices to Persons with Disabilities in Narayanpet

Hyderabad: Minister of Sports, Dairy Development, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Vakiti Srihari on Friday distributed assistive devices to disabled people under the auspices of Telangana State Disabled Cooperative Corporation in Narayanpet.
It distributed 34 retrofitted motor vehicles, nine battery-powered wheelchairs, eight laptops and tricycles free of charge to the beneficiaries. Following the distribution program, the Minister visited various department stands established in the area and examined the services and initiatives carried out for the public benefit.
The Minister tasted fish fries prepared by women’s groups at the SERP fish stall and appreciated their efforts in promoting livelihood opportunities through fishing.
During his visit to the stall of the Department of Horticulture and Sericulture, Srihari reviewed the details of palm oil cultivation and directed officials to ensure the availability of palm oil supply centers in every mandal to support farmers effectively.
Narayanpet Collector Ch Priyanka told the Minister about various welfare initiatives and development activities implemented in the district for the benefit of persons with disabilities and rural communities.
