Israel is ‘at war with Hezbollah’: Netanyahu

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was “at war with Hezbollah” and vowed to step up attacks on Iran-backed militias following an increase in drone strikes.
In his video statement published on Telegram, Netanyahu said that Hezbollah militias are attacking Israel with various types of unmanned aerial vehicles. He stated that a special team was working to solve the problem.
According to the prime minister, Israeli forces have killed more than 600 Hezbollah fighters in recent weeks. Netanyahu called members of Shiite militias terrorists.
“But we are not taking our foot off the gas,” Netanyahu said.
“On the contrary, I instructed them to press the pedal even harder.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army said it attacked Hezbollah targets in the Bekaa Valley and other parts of Lebanon. Previously, the military reported that Hezbollah carried out two more drone attacks in northern Israel. No injuries were reported.
According to reports in the Israeli press, the army has not found a solution to drone attacks so far.
A ceasefire has been in effect between Israel and Lebanon since mid-April. But cross-border fire between Israel and Hezbollah continued, with both sides accusing each other of violations. News of deaths still comes almost every day in Lebanon.
While the Israeli army continues to maintain troops in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah refuses to negotiate with Israel.
