India’s ‘Sudarshan Chakra’ gets more powerful: Fourth S-400 squadron arrives from Russia – The Economic Times Video

In a major boost to strengthen the country’s long-range air defense capabilities, the fourth squadron of S-400 Sudarshan air defense systems arrived in India from Russia a few days ago. According to defense sources ANI, the S-400 Sudarshan long-range air defense system from Russia has arrived in India on a ship and will be deployed in the operational area very soon. The S-400 air defense system is part of a 2018 contract under which India will purchase five S-400 fleets from Russia; three of these arrived two years ago and the remaining two were delayed due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. Sudarshan played a major role in hindering the capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force during Operation Sindoor; here he shot down a high-value Pakistan Air Force surveillance aircraft flying over 300 km, securing the longest recorded surface-to-air kill. The fifth squadron of the S-400 air defense mission system is expected to arrive in India in the next few months
