Trial date set for man, 76, accused of giving children sweets laced with sedatives at summer camp

In a summer camp, a trial date was determined for a 76 -year -old man accused of struggling with desserts connected to children with a sedative.
Jon Ruben of Wayte Court in Rudddington, Nottinghamshire, is accused of child persecution of three boys who were ill at the summer holiday event in Stathern Lodge in Leicestershire last month.
On Friday, wearing a dark gray sweatshirt in Leicester Crown Court, he spoke to confirm his name at a short 16 -minute hearing.
Ruben was not satisfied with the deliberate attacks, ill-treatment, neglecting, abandonment or exposure of children in a way that could cause unnecessary pain or health injuries between July 25-29.
He was detained until the defense hearing on November 14th.
A temporary hearing date for January 27 was determined next year. The hearing is expected to last four weeks.
Eight children were hospitalized as an adult measure between eight and 11 years of age, but was discharged after a report was given to the police on 27 July.
Ruben was arrested on suspicion of something poisonous or harmful with the intention of injury, aggression or disturbance in a nearby Pub parking lot after the police receive a report about children who did not feel good.
At the previous court hearing, the charges were told that the desserts allegedly attached to sedatives.
Neighbors, on July 28, used as a triaji center for children, the nearby Plungar’daki village hall except that he saw troubled parents said.
Leicestershire police directed him to the independent office for police behaviors to address the incident.
The force initially said that the incident took place before Sunday, July 28, on Sunday, July 27th.
