Hochul Backs Mamdani for NYC Mayor

New York: On Sunday, Gov Kathy Hochul called on the New York people to vote for the Mayor of New York to vote and gave the democratic island to one of the most important approvals in the competition to lead the largest city of the country.
Hochul, who wrote in the Vision section of the New York Times, said that they came together on the importance of addressing the crisis of Mamdani and Mamdani on some issues.
“But in our speeches, I heard a leader who shares my loyalty to a New York, where children may be safe in their neighborhoods and every family will be able to reach.” “I heard a leader who focuses on making New York City into an affordable target.”
The striking success of Mamdani, a self -defined democratic socialist, 33 -year -old, revealed the episodes within the Democratic Party in the New York Mayor’s race to repair his brand to the presidency of Donald Trump. Hochul’s approval is the last sign that Mamdani has begun to reinforce the liberal views of democratic leaders who are skeptical.
Mamdani thanked Hochul for support and saying that it was “strengthening our movement”.
Mamdani said in a statement on Sunday night, “Governor Hochul welcomed the center of his work. I am looking forward to fighting with him to continue the registry of New York people to put money in their pockets and to raise a family to raise a family.” He said. He continued: “I am grateful to the governor to unite our party and to ensure free lunch for our children and expand the access to child care.”
In recent weeks, other candidates in the race former Gov Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Eric Adams and Republican Curtis Sliwa intensified Mamdani’s criticism and past statements before the general elections of the city in November.
US Assembly Republican Leadership President Elise Stefanik, New York Congress member, Hochul’s approval is a sign that the governor has moved to the left to protect the number of surveys.
“As soon as they seek strong leadership from the governors of Zohran Mamdani, one of the governors of New York, Kathy Hochul will once again put New York, who will once again make this violent communist, criminals and communists, and end up to the end of New York.”
Mamdani defeated Cuomo firmly in democratically. Cuomo has been restarting his campaign independently since then. Adams, a democrat, jumped the primary to run independently in November. Sliwa was not accepted as Republican primary.
Hochul served as a lieutenant governor of Cuomo and took his place after he resigned in 2021 after a threshold of sexual harassment allegations. During the campaign, he refused to do wrong and claimed that the scandal was directed by politics.
