Starmer to chair cabinet meeting as tensions grow after resignation of top aide — UK politics live | Politics

KEY EVENTS
As wage growth slows down and business losses increase, the UK labor market gets cold.
According to official figures, the UK’s labor market, annual wage increase and increasing layoffs continued to cool down in the midst of slowing. Richard Partington Reports. Figures National Statistics Office (Ones), except for bonuses, match with the estimates of City economists from 5% in June from 5% in June, showing annual growth in regular earnings.
Here is the whole story.
Starmer shows that chair’s polling is only 26% of workers’ members approved the leadership
Good morning. Keir Starmer chaired the cabin this morning, Prime Minister, Washington Ambassador and Strategy Chief lost in less than a week or two.
Commons starts a four -week recess this evening, which will provide some respite. (If the deputies are out of Westminster, if they have a lower probability to participate in the opposition drawing.
And there’s worse news for Starmer this morning. Survival published Labor Party Members SurveyIn partnership with Labourlist, it shows:
-
Lucy Powell, who was dismissed by Starmer as the leader of Commons, has a clear leadership against Educational Secretary Bridget Phillipson in the competition of being the leader. Phillipson Sadık is seen as a pro -star candidate, while Powell is seen as a choice for members who want to express some opposition.
The whole polling can potentially fall, party membership polls are particularly difficult (because relatively a small number of members make a sampling much more difficult than normal survey) and in some respects, the opinions of the party members are now quite insignificant. Even if the chance of a leadership difficulty still looks very light and Powell (even if it is seen as a right or wrong as an Andy Burnham deputy), there is almost no official power in post labor. Just ask Tom Watson.
Still, the vote doesn’t look good.
Here is the agenda of the day.

I find it very useful when readers draw attention to mistakes, even small spelling errors. No error is too small to fix. And I find your questions very interesting. I can’t promise that you’ll answer all of them, but I will try to answer as much as possible on BTL or sometimes on the blog.
