A single presidency (not Trump’s) explains everything abou the US

America’s sixth president, John Quincy Adams, served only one term, from 1825 to 1829.

He is remembered as a poor politician and an average president at best. But the events of his life have a somewhat enigmatic quality because of how and when he lived, and are a useful tool for illustrating the defining contradictions that have been woven into the DNA of the United States since its birth.

The framers of the United States constitution were determined that the new nation they created would have no place for the inherited titles seen in the decaying monarchies of old Europe.
