Act Tough Against Traffic Violated, Says Cyberabad Police Chief

Hyderabad: Cyberabad commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh on Tuesday instructed the police personnel to increase social awareness among the public about following traffic rules to prevent accidents and save people’s lives. Speaking to 150 Greyhounds staff trained in traffic management, the commissioner said accidents would have a serious impact on each and every family and the aim was to raise awareness of responsible driving in the community.
Siberabad commission has many areas that suffer the most from traffic problems. When it rains, traffic gets worse. He also noted the high traffic volume in IT corridor areas and instructed staff to be careful while discharging their duties there.
The police chief also advised them to remain vigilant during the monsoon season and discharge their duties efficiently to ensure that the public does not face any inconvenience. When the commissioner asked about the concepts they had learned, Greyhounds personnel briefed the police chief on effective management of traffic duties, courteous interaction with the public and adherence to proper traffic control procedures.
Topics such as traffic management, traffic engineering and legal issues were discussed in the training. Instructions were also given regarding sanctions for violations such as not wearing a helmet, lane indiscipline, wrong-way driving, and drunk driving.
