In breaking news, Trump said that Israel and Lebanon agreed to extend the ceasefire for three weeks after a meeting with the countries’ ambassadors and senior US officials.
In a post published on Truth Social a few minutes ago, Trump confirmed the extension.
“President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP, Vice President of the United States J.D. Vance, Secretary of State J.D. Vance, Marco Rubio, Israeli Ambassador Mike Huckabee, and Lebanese Ambassador Michel Issa met today in the Oval Office with the Senior Representatives of Israel and Lebanon. The meeting went very well! The United States will work with Lebanon to help it protect itself from Hezbollah,” he said.
“The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended for THREE WEEKS. I look forward to hosting Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the near future. It was a Great Honor to attend this Historic Meeting!”
