Adam Peaty has revealed his fiancée Holly Ramsay gave him ‘balance’ as he opened up about their relationship after a painful wedding with his family.
The 30-year-old swimmer opened up about his relationship with Gordon Ramsay’s 25-year-old daughter in World Aquatics’ YouTube documentary series about his journey to the 2025 Swimming World Cup.
Speaking to the camera, Adam said: ‘If I’m competing in the trials or any other meet, it’ll just be in the crowd. I’ll be in a different hotel room or similar.
‘When we started this season I told myself I wanted him there because it gives me stability but also allows me to be away from home for three weeks.
‘And as someone participating in their fourth Olympics, you need balance.’
Elsewhere in the episode, Holly revealed more about how the pair met.

She said: ‘So when Adam and I first met he wasn’t swimming. In his mind, he was done after the Olympics. He was retired.
‘So he took leave from the Olympics until January and returned to the water this January.’
Although Adam didn’t mention his own family in the clip, Holly shed light on the Ramsay clan, which includes dad Gordon, mom Tana and siblings Megan, 27, twin brother Jack, 25, Matilda, 23, Oscar, six, and Jesse, two.
He said: ‘I have five siblings so the house is always chaotic, which is a bit like being on tour. Being with a swimmer definitely has a few quirks…
‘I always have to have snacks on hand, he always gets very hungry if I don’t have snacks, so if we’re going out, I have to bring snacks with me, even when we’re going out for dinner.’
Reflecting Adam’s temperament, he later said: ‘There are definitely times when he needs his own space, so touring for three weeks in a hotel room can definitely feel too small.’
The release of the video comes as the couple has been accused of ‘body shaming’ by her family after it was claimed her mother was not invited to their wedding because of her appearance and not having the right ‘look’.
As the fight continues between the two families, only one member of his family is scheduled to attend that day.
Adam’s family feud sparked after Holly failed to invite her future mother-in-law to her hen party, which was attended by guests including mother Tana, sisters Megan and Tilly and Victoria Beckham.

He told us: ‘I know this is the end.
‘But please, the message I want Adam to hear is; No matter what happens in the future, please know that I love you, your father loves you, you can come home and talk to me whenever you want.
‘You’ve done nothing that I can’t forgive. I love you very much.
‘I hope your marriage is good, I don’t want anything bad for you and I want you and Holly to have a long and happy marriage, like your father and I. The reason I’m saying this openly is because I want all this to end.’
Caroline is acutely aware of how different her world is from the world her son currently lives in, and the family is said to be concerned about the power and influence of the Ramsay family.
“He’s in Gordon’s clutches,” said Caroline. ‘I can’t help but feel like they’re pushing him away from me. Their families are very narrow-minded.’
