Met chief apologises to broadcaster Selina Scott over police response to her mugging

London’s Metropolitan Police Chief, after being robbed at the capital’s West End, published an apology to senior publisher Selina Scott, which caused him to claim the streets of the city insecure for the public.

The 74 -year -old was surrounded by a thief gang near Waterstones in Piccadilly, and hit him behind the leg before stealing his bag.

During a call in Nick Ferrari’s LBC show, Sir Mark Rowley said from the old news circle: ım I was robbed by a gang that hit me with a metal object behind my leg before opening all my bank cards and cash;

“There were too many and there was no police anywhere. So, I feel humiliated and angry, but most importantly, he is afraid for everyone who listens to Nick’s show and feels that they can walk the streets of London safely, because I can’t, they can’t.
