AFL round 19 2026, scores, results, odds, stats and start time from Marvel Stadium
Melbourne were too good for too long to come from 25 points down to beat North Melbourne at Marvel Stadium despite losing Daniel Turner and Changkuoth Jiath to injury.
The Roos initially took a four-goal lead, but the Dees were in control from the second term onwards. They took the lead early in the third quarter and continued from there.
Tom Sparrow and Kysaiah Pickett were quick and decisive for the Dees, while Matthew Jefferson kicked four goals.
Harry Sheezel did his best for the Roos with 31 disposals but his side could neither create enough goal chances nor keep control of the Dees who were on the run as the game progressed.
The win keeps the Dees in the top four, other results are awaited for now, while the Roos’ defeat hurts their chances in the top 10.
Turner was taken to hospital to have his injured ribs scanned, while Jiath limped off with a leg injury.
