Lions superstar Lachie Neale did not mince words about his disappointment in the second half against the Blues this evening.

Neale won the Robert Walls Medal for best on ground with 33 disposals and a goal, but warned the Lions they would lose out if they repeated tonight’s performance against Geelong next week.

“They have stepped up their competitions and cleanup efforts,” Neale told Kayo Sports.

“They were probably ahead all day on deflected balls but our clearance work in the first half was pretty good. [and] Later [in] We disappeared in that third quarter.

“We were probably moving around too much and couldn’t close down the area so they could find the targets. We need to clean that up.”
