AI training programme for government officials to be launched

The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M), along with Google and Digital Futures Lab, an independent, interdisciplinary research studio, will launch a capacity building program for authorities on building, sourcing and scaling responsible artificial intelligence (AI) systems. This was announced at the conclave of cardinals on Strengthening Human Capital in the Age of Artificial Intelligence held at IIT-M on Friday, a press release said. The program will enable officials to understand key AI technologies and applications, evaluate AI solutions for procurement and scaling, and implement responsible AI practices aligned with India’s policy framework. The statement also stated that it will focus on identifying risks, limitations and governance requirements in real-world deployments.
