Alex de Minaur in action against Adrian Mannarino and Maya Joint looks to continue strong run vs seeded Alexandra Eala
London: Nobody gave Maya Joint a chance. Anyone who isn’t Australian or has at least one foot in Joint’s camp. They were wrong.
Facing the fear of being Serena Williams’ first opponent in her famous Wimbledon comeback as a 44-year-old mother of two after almost four years, Joint shocked the world with a 6-3, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3 victory over the former world No. 1.

“I really don’t know what to say right now. I don’t know what just happened,” said a disbelieving Joint.
