Progressive firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, is moving to limit President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration through a bill that would create new transparency rules on federal flights.
Crockett’s legislation is called the “Transparency Requirements for Aircraft Carriers to Know the Immigration Conduct and Enforcement Act,” or TRACK ICE Act.
He introduced it this week alongside Rep. Dan Goldman (D-Y), another Democrat who has made headlines for clashing with Trump.
The bill would make it easier to track detention and deportation flights ordered by the federal government, as well as require new transparency disclosures about who is detained.

“For too long, the federal government has operated immigration flights without full transparency. These ghost flights tear families apart, leave loved ones in the dark, and give immigration agents free rein to operate without oversight, transparency, or fairness. It is Congress’ duty to ensure they do not operate above the law,” Crockett said in a statement about the legislation.
This comes as Democrats seek to impose new guardrails on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in the wake of violent demonstrations in Minneapolis. Tensions erupted there after an ICE agent fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in her car.
While Good was accused by the Trump administration of obstructing ICE operations at the time of his death, Democrats said the ICE agent who shot Good acted recklessly and even deserved a criminal investigation.

Crockett’s bill would require immigration flights operated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to be publicly disclosed within 72 hours after they occur.
Details such as aircraft identification code, departure and arrival times, and ICE Air job descriptions will all need to be made public.
Additionally, information about detainees such as nationality, age group, gender and family status will also need to be disclosed.
Critics of Democrats’ transparency efforts have said that forcing ICE to disclose too much information could endanger agents and targets of federal operations.

But people on the left argue that the agency operates with too much impunity.
Fox News Digital has reached out to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for a response to the bill.
