Amit Shah named central observer for West Bengal, Nadda for Assam

The BJP on Tuesday (May 5, 2026) named Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the central observer in the election of the party’s legislative party leader in West Bengal.
The party also appointed Union minister JP Nadda as the central observer for the election of the legislative party leader in Assam.
