MSNBC’s Joy Reid admits she’d be alarmed by penis in women’s locker room

Former MSNBC host Joy Reid admitted Sunday that she would panic if she saw a penis in a women’s locker room.
During a conversation about him “Reid This Reid Thatpodcast, Reid said that seeing male genitalia in a women’s locker room would “scare” her.
“I panic enough when I see a woman with sagging breasts. If I saw a penis in the women’s locker room, I’d be scared too,” the former MSNBC (now known as MS NOW) host told host Jacque Reid. he said.

Reid was reacting to a story about a California woman that went viral after she complained that a transgender woman repeatedly entered the women’s locker room at Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles earlier this month.
Reid criticizes conservatives propose policy To keep trans women out of women’s locker rooms and women’s sports, she told her co-host that she would go to management in this case.
“He says, if I turn around and see a pee in front of me in the room – a penis – I’ll probably go to management and say, ‘Wait a minute. Why is there someone – a naked man – in this room?’ “I would say.”

Reid made it clear that his remarks were not an attack on transgender people, but rather an acknowledgment of his discomfort with nudity in locker rooms.
“I would be disturbed. I’m telling you. I would panic. I panic enough when I see a woman with sagging breasts,” she said, adding, “This is nothing against transgender people.”
Reid continued: Even if a person who identifies as transgender has male genitalia, he said he would understand the woman’s complaints from a “safety” and “privacy” perspective.

“I mean, I can understand why she would go and report to management saying ‘there’s a naked man in there.’ Now, if they make it clear and say, ‘Well, trans da da da,’ fine, but I think they should take her concerns seriously as well. Because if she’s uncomfortable, doesn’t she at least have the right to be uncomfortable with the situation?”
Reid’s co-host agreed, saying that although she supports trans rights, she doesn’t want to see male genitalia in women’s locker rooms.
Joy Reid suggested gender-neutral facilities as a possible solution after the co-host suggested creating “separate changing rooms” for transgender people.
“Give people a choice,” he said.
