New video and photos released Friday show the moments before and after Karmelo Anthony stabbed Austin Metcalf to death during a confrontation at a high school track meet in Texas.

The videos were made public by a Collin County court on Friday after Anthony was convicted of first-degree murder earlier this month.

One of the security cameras showed Anthony running from the tent where he stabbed Metcalf on April 2, 2025, passing through the stands and onto the track in Frisco, Texas.

The body camera video captures the moments after Anthony was taken into custody following the fatal stabbing of Metcalf at a high school track meet. In the footage, Anthony can be heard telling the police, “He put his hands on me. I told him not to. He put his hands on me.”

In the video, an officer is seen checking Anthony’s pockets and asking him his name, school and grade as he puts him in a police vehicle.

In the released audio recording of the 911 call made after the attack, a person can be heard saying that an athlete had been stabbed and a veteran was applying compresses to the wound. People shouting can be heard in the background.

The caller added that Metcalf is currently unconscious and not breathing. He later said in the video that Metcalf was breathing again.

While talking to the 911 operator, I heard a man yell, “Stay with me, Austin!” He can be heard shouting.

“There’s so much blood. He’s not breathing,” the caller said, adding that he didn’t know who stabbed him at the time. But he said students will know.

The operator then guides him through the process of stopping the bleeding.

The caller later said he could see the suspect being taken into custody not far from where Metcalf lay.

As chest compressions are performed on Metcalf, a man can be heard saying, “Come on, Austin.” “Fight, Austin!”

The call ends with the arrival of paramedics.

Prosecutors said Anthony used a knife to stab Metcalf after he confronted the teen and his brother while they were sitting in their team’s tent at Memorial High School. Anthony, who was 17 at the time, admitted stabbing Metcalf but claimed he acted in self-defense.

During Anthony’s trial, prosecutor Bill Wirskye stated that the 3½-inch-long gun Anthony used was “not a particularly fine knife,” but that it was ultimately fatal when he pulled it from his backpack during the confrontation.

Anthony was sentenced this month to 35 years in prison for the stabbing, sparking a wave of criticism from his supporters over the composition of the jury. Anthony will be eligible for parole after serving half of his sentence.

A short video appears to show Anthony being arrested by police officers. When one officer arrives, he says to the other: “This is the alleged suspect.”

“I know how it goes,” a voice can be heard saying off camera. “They don’t blame me. I did it.”

Collin County District Judge John Roach, who authorized the release of the images and videos, told Fox News Digital that he understands the public’s desire to know what happened in the case.

“The main focus in my decision regarding the media in the courtroom was to protect the process, the witnesses, and the jury. Now that the trial is over, it is important for me to ensure transparency,” he said.

Metcalf’s father, Jeff Metcalf, previously told Fox News Digital that security footage of his son’s fatal stabbing would contradict many of the claims circulating online following the deadly confrontation at a track meet in Texas.

Now, the public is getting its first look at the evidence shown during Anthony’s murder trial as Collin County releases trial exhibits presented to jurors.

Metcalf, who watched the footage before it was played in court, said he believes its release will answer lingering questions about what happened under the Memorial High School team tent on the day of the murder.

“The video clearly shows that the conversation lasted less than 10 seconds. That’s it,” Metcalf previously told Fox News Digital. “There wasn’t one in four.”
