Australian windsurfer escapes shark attack

Australian windsurfer Andy McDonald recalls surviving a shark attack in Western Australia’s Margaret River earlier this week.

Mr McDonald encountered the shark while windsurfing and later said he believed “this moment was the end of my life”.

The shark gnawed at the wood and then dived deeper into the ocean, leaving it mostly unharmed.

Although the shark destroyed his board, that didn’t stop Mr McDonald from buying a new board soon so he could return to the waves.
