‘Bangladesh ke Hindu ke liye…’
YouTuber Dhruv Rathee was mercilessly trolled for calling Dhurandhar ‘propaganda’ and fans of the film claimed how his video would get more people to watch the film and cross Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. Devoleena Bhattacharjee asked him to talk about lynching of Hindus in Bangladesh.

As Dhurandhar continues to break box office records, popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee shared a video titled ‘The Reality of Dhurandhar Movie’, in which he claimed that the Ranveer Singh movie was “dangerous propaganda”. In the video he shared on Saturday, the YouTuber said, “Aditya Dhar, the director of the movie Dhurandhar, made a false claim and tried to spread ridiculous propaganda through his movie. Well-made propaganda is more dangerous. Movies like The Taj Story and The Bengal Films were not dangerous, kyunki wo bakwaas these movies (because they were bad movies). But Dhurandhar is an interesting movie.”
After his video went viral on social media, Dhruv took to his account The YouTuber was mercilessly trolled for his views, with fans of Dhurandhar claiming how his clip would make more people see the film and cross Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. The film Aditya Dhar has so far grossed Rs 870 crore worldwide in the first 17 days and has earned a nett of Rs 579 crore in India.
Popular TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who plays Gopi Bahu in Star Plus’ long-running TV show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, attacked Dhruv Rathee while resharing his post on X and wrote: “I try to avoid and ignore your shitty videos and tweets. I don’t know why liye kab bolega? (Stop thinking about Dhurandhar and start talking about Hindus in Bangladesh).”
Devoleena was referring to a recent incident in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, on December 18, when a Hindu garment worker named Dipu Chandra Das was lynched by the mob, beaten to death, and his body was later tied to a tree and burned. The interim Bangladesh government, led by Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, condemned the violence and arrested several suspects; The incident sparked widespread outrage, protests and calls for justice across the Southeast Asian region.
