BBC boss Tim Davie to quit after furious blatant bias scandal | UK | News

Tim Davie has reportedly left his role as director-general of the BBC.

The publisher’s chief executive said it was “entirely his decision” to step back from the role after 20 years.

“I am very grateful to the president and the board for their unwavering and unanimous support throughout my entire tenure, including the final days,” he said in a statement. he added.

The announcement follows a week of damaging revelations about the BBC’s editorial practices. Donald Trump Speech in the Panorama documentary and allegations of distorted reporting on the Israel-Hamas war.

The taxpayer-funded company is expected to apologize on Monday following concerns about its impartiality.
