DGQA to set up Centre of Excellence for drones in Hyderabad

The General Directorate of Quality Assurance (DGQA) will soon establish a center of excellence for drones in Hyderabad, during a seminar held at the DGQA Technical Complex in Secunderabad, Ra Govardhan.
The General Directorate of Quality Assurance (DGQA) will establish a center of perfection for drones in Haydarabad, which aims to strengthen domestic capabilities in unmanned air systems and position Haydarabad as a center for military drone development.
The announcement was made by RA Govardhan during a seminar on military UAVs and quality assurance strategies for DGQA Technical Complex in Secunderabad on Thursday.
In his opening speech, N. Manoharan, General Manager of Quality Assurance, emphasized the increasing role of drones in modern war and emphasized the need for strong quality assurance frameworks in order to ensure reliability in war conditions.
Teangana’s Aviation and Defense Director Pareen also addressed the meeting and summarized the state government’s plans to expand the defense production and to benefit from Hyderabad’s rapidly emerging industrial ecosystem.
The seminar covered issues such as flight convenience, certificate protocols, software validation and verification and frameworks for military drones for safety test.
