Bronze Statue of Ambedkar Unveiled at APSPDCL Office in Nellore

Nellore: Former Special Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand on Tuesday unveiled the bronze statue of BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, at the APSPDCL Electricity Bhavan here.

Collector Himanshu Shukla and APSPDCL chairman and managing director (CMD) Shivasankar Lotheti attended the programme.

Chief guest Vijayanand, Dr. He said Ambedkar gave India “one of the most robust and comprehensive constitutions in the world” capable of uniting various nations. He emphasized that public officials should support constitutional values ​​and ensure transparency and accountability.

Collector Himanshu Shukla described the Constitution as the backbone of Indian democracy and ensures justice, equality and protection for all. He said public service was a sacred responsibility and called on officials to reflect constitutional principles in their work.

CMD Shivasankar Lotheti stated that the installation was a matter of pride and that it was initiated on the request of the representatives of the SC/ST Welfare Association. He said such initiatives inspire employees and promote equality and social justice.

Senior officials, including director (technical) K. Guravayya, joint collector Venkateswarlu, intern collector Pawan Kumar, chief vigilance officer Janardhan Naidu and chief engineer K. Raghavendram, along with SC/ST association leaders and staff, attended.
