Brutal UK weather maps show exact date -3C cold snap is set to hit Britain | Weather | News

The UK is set to experience bitterly cold conditions over the next few days, with the latest weather maps showing temperatures as low as -3C. According to the maps, freezing weather is expected to affect the country on Thursday, October 23 and shake many parts of the country.
According to WXCharts weather maps created on October 12 using Met Desk data, cold conditions will begin to quickly enter the country starting at midnight on October 23, with only areas around Fort William experiencing the coldest conditions initially. But maps show cold conditions will start to increase as the day progresses, with the mercury reaching -3C in other areas such as Portree and Glencoe.
According to the graphs, temperature levels in Edinburgh, Inverness, Wick, Aberdeen and Glasgow will remain between -1 and 0C until 12:00.
Other areas such as Newcastle, Middlesbrough, York and the Yorkshire Dales may experience cold conditions with temperatures around 0 to 1 degrees during the day.
However, the maps show that even southern parts of the country will see mercury levels drop into single digits, with parts of London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester and Gloucester experiencing temperatures of 3 and 4C.
The Met Office’s long-term forecast for October 17th to 26th is as follows: “High pressure is expected to dominate weather conditions across the UK at the beginning of this period.
“Large parts of the UK will be mostly dry, although light rain and drizzle are likely in parts of the south-east and north, particularly in higher elevations.
“Cloud amounts will be variable, but generally large, although some sunlight will be visible. Patches of fog are likely to form overnight and gradually dissipate towards the morning.
“Temperatures are likely to be close to normal throughout the year.
“There are signs that the general pattern will change in the second half of this period, with low pressure systems likely moving in some form from the west. However, the details of more unstable weather conditions are still very unclear.”
Tonight and Tonight:
After a calm evening, it will be a largely dry night with clearest weather in the west. More cloudy from the east, misty overhead. Foggy and cool in places under clearest skies, mostly in Scotland and Northern England.
Monday:
The fog will clear in the early hours, then it will be quite cloudy and sunshine will be limited to much of northern England and Scotland. The cloud is thick enough to drizzle in places. I feel coolness under the cloud.
Outlook from Tuesday to Thursday:
High pressure, mostly cloudy, but remaining mostly dry. A few bursts of drizzle are possible at times and some areas of overnight fog are also possible. Temperatures are close to average.
