CBI Court convicts 10 including former Jharkhand Minister Anosh Ekka in land acquisition case

On Friday, August 29, 2025, the Ranchi Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) Special Referee Court accused 10 defendants, including former Jharkhand Anosh Ekka in a land purchasing case violating the Chota Nagpur Rental (CNT) Law.
The nine other nine defendants Menon Ekka, Kartic Prabhat, Raj Kishore Singh, Firoz Akhtar, Brijesh Mishra, Anil Kumar, Manilal Mahta, Brajesh Mahto and Parshuram Carketta.
In the official press release, CBI, Hari Narain Rai and Anosh Ekka and others against others on 11.08.2010 by the Jharkhand Supreme Court in Ranchi (Public Interest Cases) No. 2252 of 2008 No.47 No.47.
According to the CBI, it was claimed in the Fir, which has disproportionate assets and allegedly dealing with the address of the land by violating the CNT Law.
“Anosh Ekka, 2006, 2007 and 2008, a total of 1,18,03.683/- between 2006, 2007 and 2008, the amount of 1,18,03.683/- in the Ranchi Region in the name of his wife Menon Ekka bought large lands,” he said.
“Voices of land lands assistant for land reforms. Collector received permission from LRDC [Land Record Deputy Collector]Ranchi. LRDCs, staff and Circle officers connected with Menon Ekka and Anosh Ekka and proposed the transfer of the land to him despite the facts. “
The CBI also said that LRDC received positive reports from the personnel sent under itself for land transfer. After the completion of the investigation, the CBI gave a wage layer against 16 defendants on 10.12.2012.
The discussion at the sentence point will be held on August 30, 2025 on the date of hearing.
