Celtic v Hearts title decider not abandoned after pitch invasion – SPFL

The SPFL confirmed Celtic’s title-clinching victory over Hearts on Saturday had not yet come to a premature conclusion and condemned the invasion of the pitch after the final action of a thrilling and chaotic afternoon.
Fans flocked from the stands at Celtic Park after Callum Osmand made it 3-1 in the 98th minute.
Play did not continue due to the eight-minute stoppage time announced at the end of Rule 90.
Hearts started the day one point ahead and took the lead through Lawrence Shankland’s header.
Celtic equalized just before half-time through Arne Engels’ penalty kick, while Daizen Maeda put the defending champions ahead in the 87th minute.
Hearts, seeking a first title since 1960, decided to leave the stadium in a hurry, citing a “threatening and menacing atmosphere”.
