Michigan police investigating shooting at Fairlane Town Center

Police in Dearborn, Michigan, descended on the Fairlane Town Center mall Friday afternoon following the shooting, which authorities called a “significant incident.”
Law enforcement has not yet released information about potential casualties, suspect descriptions or what led to the gunfire.
The Dearborn Police Department issued an emergency alert to the public on social media, instructing all residents and visitors to avoid the area while officers worked to secure the active area.

“We are asking residents and visitors to avoid the area while officers secure the scene and investigators continue their work,” the department said.
