CM To Distribute Pattadar Passbooks, Interact With Farmers in West Godavari Today

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will visit Siddantham village in Achanta constituency of West Godavari district on Monday to participate in the government’s Mee Bhoomi – Mee Hakku (Your Land – Your Right) program and distribute newly minted Pattadar passbooks to farmers.

The state government has initiated a major drive to correct errors in land records and passbooks issued during the YSRC period. As part of the initiative, lands are resurveyed in the presence of farmers and new passbooks are issued only after their approval. As part of the programme, the CM personally interacts with farmers every month and supervises the verification of land details before distribution of passbooks.

According to officials, the government has completed resurveys in 6,688 villages since January and distributed new Pattadar Passbooks to 26.46 lakh farmers in 6,459 villages within six months. The government has targeted completion of re-surveys in 10,357 other villages in the next nine months and benefiting farmers through distribution of 67.32 lakh additional passbooks.

The state has also implemented a first-of-its-kind blockchain-based land registration system that assigns a permanent blockchain ID to each land unit to prevent tampering of records. E-KYC verification has been made mandatory at every stage, from survey to final registration creation. Draft passbooks are first given to farmers and final passbooks are printed only after verification and approval.

As per the schedule, Naidu will leave Amaravati at 10.25 am and reach Siddantham at 11 am, attend the public meeting at 11.15 am, interact with farmers at 2.30 pm and then hold a review meeting with Telugu Desam leaders before returning to Amaravati in the evening.

West Godavari collector Chadalavada Nagarani stated that the CM personally monitored the program and directly interacted with farmers as part of the government’s commitment to ensure error-free land records. During the Siddhantam programme, the CM would distribute Pattadar Passbooks and later interact with the farmers.

AP is the first state to implement a blockchain-based land registration system, the collector said. Each land parcel is assigned a permanent blockchain ID, ensuring records remain secure and tamper-proof. E-KYC verification has been made mandatory at every stage of the process, from survey to final issuance of passbooks.
