CNG Prices hiked again today by Rs 2/kg in Delhi: Check latest rates in Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices in Delhi have been increased by Rs 2 per kg with effect from today (May 26, 2026). This is the third increase in less than two weeks amid rising global energy prices. As per the latest revision effective from 6 am today, the cost of CNG in Delhi is now Rs 83.09 per kg, an increase of Rs 2 per kg over the previous rate.

Earlier, CNG rates were revised on Saturday, May 23, when Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL) reportedly increased prices by Rs 1. The latest increase follows the announcement of an increase of Rs 1 per kg on May 23, Rs 2 per kg on May 15 and Re 1 per kg on May 17.

Over the last ten days, CNG prices have risen many times as gas distributors in the city continue to grapple with mounting losses due to the Iran war that has clogged global energy supply chains.

Delhi-NCR CNG Prices

Following previous revisions, CNG prices in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad increased to Rs 88.70 per kg. Similar increases have been seen in Mumbai, where CNG now costs Rs 84 per kg.

City Latest CNG Price (Per kg)
delhi ₹83.09
Noida ₹91.70
Ghaziabad ₹91.70
Gurugram ₹86.12
Faridabad ₹89.30
mumbai ₹81.00

The latest hike comes amid persistent increases in gasoline and diesel prices as state-run fuel retailers pass on the impact of rising global crude oil rates to consumers. The new increase in CNG prices has further increased financial pressure on households and transport operators who have already been dealing with high fuel expenses in recent weeks.
The new revision comes as gasoline and diesel prices on Monday also marked the fourth increase in less than two weeks. It comes amid growing pressure on global energy markets due to consecutive increases in CNG, gasoline and diesel prices, rising tensions in the Middle East and ongoing disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy corridor through which nearly a fifth of the world’s oil and gas trade passes.
