UFC CEO Dana White revealed Saturday on “My Perspective on Lara Trump” that he and President Donald Trump are preparing to give away tens of thousands of tickets to the first fight, which is scheduled to be held at the White House in honor of both the president’s birthday and the nation’s 250th birthday.

White said the production head is working on UFC Freedom 250 “24/7.” A temporary arena with a capacity of 4,300 spectators will be built, and Trump wants to give most of these tickets to military personnel.

White also stated that the organizers will distribute 85,000 tickets to fans who can watch the fights from the Ellipse. The public park just south of the White House will be set up with large screens, stages, music and other audience events.

If you’re a UFC fan, especially if you’ve never been to Washington, D.C., we’re going to give away approximately 85,000 tickets,” White said.

He encouraged Ultimate Fighting enthusiasts to take the journey, saying fans can sign up for these tickets completely free of charge.

“You know we’re going to do all kinds of things for the fans in DC and it’s just a great city… If you’re a UFC fan, this is definitely a time to come to DC,” he added.

White said only lightning could threaten the fight and noted that he disliked outdoor activities because they were “too unpredictable.”

“If it rains, we go. If it snows, we go. The only thing that will stop us is lightning. But we are working with the army,” he said.

The Army will provide White’s team with weather forecasts every hour for seven days leading up to the event. Even if lightning strikes or at least poses a threat, the event could be postponed to an earlier or later date, White said.

“So these are all things we’ll be playing with during the week of the event, along with other things we’ve never had to deal with.”

“The only time I agreed to do an outdoor event was in Abu Dhabi… I could have been the weatherman in Abu Dhabi and I would have been right all the time,” he added.
